Cajón del Azul is the best known trek in the region. In its descent to the Pacific Ocean, the Río Azul creates an awe inspiring work of nature: the natural erosion from the river has formed walls 30 meters high, creating a stunning canyon through which runs the brilliant turquoise water of this river. Several meters from the canyon lies the mountaiin refuge with the same name where you will be serverd by the charasmatic Atilio. Here you can rest peacefully and enjoy his tasty home-made beer and other delightful meals from his organic farm.
